After speaking with Marge Switzer on the phone one evening, I was anticipating the cover shoot for this issue even more. I could feel her warmth and enthusiasm right away, so her kindness in person didn’t surprise me one bit. For 24 years, Marge has been in the sewing room for the Packer organization. She and her crew work on players’ jerseys, pants, etc., coaches’ attire, laundry bags for the team… you name it! Their sewing room is always humming. We thought this behind-the-scenes story would
be interesting because it’s probably not something you often think about. I’d be willing to bet that after you read Marge’s story, you won’t forget about the Packers’ sewing department anytime soon.
This September issue has a variety of stories within it. We have some funmbridal stories, a story on ovarian cancer and a piece explaining cholesterol numbers — just to name a few. I interviewed Theresa Caputo, the lady from the TLC show called Long Island Medium for this issue. We missed out on meeting her at the Weidner Center in the past, which I’ve always regretted. This coming November she is coming to the Fox Cities PAC, and I’ve heard she has a great show!
Thanks for picking up and reading Women magazine this fall.
