More Women to love

There’s more to Women this month. In addition to new features in our magazine, we’ve launched a Web site, www.mywomenmagazine.com, which offers additional content about the women of Northeast Wisconsin.

I’m very excited about the Web site because it gives us the opportunity to offer something extra to our readers. One of our most popular sections is the Out and About feature in the back of our magazine. Now we’re able to offer an online version as well, where you’ll be able to see even more photos of people at events of interest in the area.

In addition, you won’t have to wait for the next month’s issue to see the photos. We’ll get the photos online as soon as we can after the event, so you can take a look right away and see who our photographer captured.

Our Web site also offers a virtual copy of the magazine, allowing you to breeze through our pages online or e-mail stories to a friend. In the site’s Women EXTRA section, you’ll find more information about selected stories, such as this month’s cover feature. The Timber Rattlers’ Nikki Becker offered some fascinating comments in our cover story, and there’s even more information from our candid interview online.

There’s something new within this issue of Women as well. This area is filled with amazing women who own and run their own businesses, and starting this month we’ll feature one or more in "It’s Her Business."

This month we’re featuring an art shop entrepreneur, a real estate broker and a group of women who are looking to motivate girls everywhere to succeed. Not a bad group to start with!

Our centerspread also features a pretty special group of ladies. They’re board members of the New North, a group of local business people and organizations dedicated to promoting all that’s great about this area. With an eye toward attracting and supporting local businesses, they’re tireless advocates of the area we call home.

They had some great things to say, and while you’ll find a taste of their comments in the pages of this magazine there’s even more online at www.mywomenmagazine.com.

Like every busy woman’s life, our Web site is a work in progress. To let us know what you’d like to see there, send me an e-mail at tdougherty@jcpgroup.com.

We’ve tried to highlight the features we think will interest our readers, but we’re always open to offering more of what our readers enjoy.
