The Office of Continuing Education at the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley is launching “Women’s Wellness for the Mind and Body,” an exciting new series aimed at women’s wellness. Challenges like dealing with a demanding job, managing finances, focusing personal energy, and dealing with life’s emotions are addressed in the new series.
The first session, “Week One-Financial Fitness,” will be held on Wednesday, March 10, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Participants will leave with at least three things that they can do in the next six months to improve the financial knowledge and stability for themselves and their family.
The “Week Two - Emotional Fitness” session meets on March 17, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Participants in this session will examine the signs to detect when they, or a loved one, need to seek outside assistance. They will discover what their daily stressors are and take away at least two tools that they can easily use to manage those stressors. The session will show participants how to understand and maintain the friendships that will allow them to feel emotionally fit with the demands of their everyday life.
The “Week Three - Physical Fitness” session is scheduled for Wednesday, March 24, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. Participants will discover their healthy body weight, discuss various methods to achieve the recommended thirty minutes of physical daily activity…even when their schedule doesn’t allow for it. Participants will leave this session with several ways that they can improve their physical fitness and improve their dietary habits.
Each session purchased individually costs $29. Participants can save by registering for all three of sessions at a total cost of $69.
