B.Y.G.D. – Bring Your Girlfriends Downtown

Bring your girlfriends downtown for this ladies only event on Mar. 20.

The event begins at 10 a.m. with a Spring & Summer Fashion show and champagne brunch. After the Fashion Show and brunch, ladies of all ages are encouraged to stroll down the Avenue to enjoy downtown Appleton.

The first 100 registrants will receive a ‘swag’ bag that includes a $50 gift certificate to Avenue Jewelers along with much more.

Tickets go on sale Feb. 1. All ticket holders are eligible to win the Downtown Appleton Diva Basket drawing which includes tickets to the Broadway Musical “Legally Blonde” at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center Apr. 20.

Hand-N-Hand of Northeastern Wisconsin, Inc. (HNH) is a non-profit organization that offers a playgroup for children ages birth to five who are deaf and hard of hearing and their families in the northeastern region of Wisconsin. The following listings are upcoming events in April 2010.

Roots-N-Wings Sign Language Class – ages 6-12
Monday Nights, March 15 – May 10: 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

This eight week program will teach children age six and older the basic roots of sign language while encouraging participants to spread their wings and feel comfortable using the language in a natural environment. Cost is $25.00 per child. Registration is due by March 8, 2010.

"THROUGH THE EYES AND EARS OF OUR FAMILY” - PARENT PANEL
Monday, April 19, 2010 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.

This is a panel discussion presenting local families, parents and children, who will share their stories and answer questions about raising/being a child with hearing loss. Light refreshments will be served and childcare will be available.
