Colonoscopies are one of the most effective tools for detecting colon cancer at its earliest, most treatable stage. Starting at age 50, men and women are encouraged to have a colon screening and then as recommended by your provider after that.

Agnesian HealthCare gastroenterologists, general surgeons and support staff will be sharing that message at Fond du Lac’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 13.

As with many types of cancer, early detection can increase your chances of surviving colorectal cancer. Unfortunately, many people shy away from discussing this topic, even with their provider.
St. Agnes Hospital and Waupun Memorial Hospital offer colorectal screenings. Call (920) 926-8570 (Gastroenterology), or 926-8485 or 324-6800 (General Surgery) to schedule your appointment.
