U.S. Rep. Steve Kagen will join Mid-Day Business and Professional Women Feb. 17 at its regular member meeting for an open discussion on federal legislative initiatives that affect women and families. Kagen will share update attendees on where legislation stand in the political process and give his stance on the issues.

In his second term serving in representing Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District, Kagen will address three issues related to Mid-Day Business and Professional Women’s legislative platform.
The issues that will be discussed are the renewal of the federal Family Violence Prevention and Services Act, the Paycheck Fairness Act (H.R. 12), and Wisconsin Senate Bill 20.
The meeting at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel will be open to the public, but preregistration is required by Feb. 14. Networking begins at 11:30 a.m. with the program and lunch will be served at noon. Cost is $10, which includes lunch and the program.
