Bonita L. Graff and Mary P. Wiedenmeier, partners at Provident Financial Consultants in Oshkosh presented a check to Steve Vickman, executive director of Oshkosh Area Community Pantry (Pantry) on Jan. 6. Not only has Provident been able to provide a cash donation to the pantry, Graff and Wiedenmeier have encouraged their team to volunteer there as well. Since July 2009 two Provident employees assist at the pantry for two hours each week while remaining on the clock. The team at the pantry anticipates the arrival of the volunteers and usually has preplanned the task(s) they will perform on a given day. The pantry can count on the Provident volunteers on a long-term basis. Graff and Wiedenmeier would like to challenge small business owners in and around the greater Oshkosh area to establish similar volunteer programs for their employees. “The benefits from participating in this volunteering venture have had such a positive effect on our team, as well as the Oshkosh Area Community Pantry," Graff observes. "It has been well worth the effort.” Project Pink, North America’s premier Pink Floyd tribute band, will perform at the Meyer Theatre on Friday, Apr. 2 at 8 p.m. Project Pink will recreate the complete Pink Floyd experience with a 16-foot projection screen, world-class sound production, and an array of virtual lights. The band will perform some popular Floyd songs including "The Dark Side of the Moon," "The Wall," "Wish You Were Here" and "Meddle." Project Pink's award-winning musicians include members from "Johnny Wad" and "Let Me Be Frank Productions."
