Neenah Public Library invites the public to join them on Monday, Feb. 8 at 1:30 p.m. for the showing of the film "My Sister's Keeper" starring Abigail Breslin and Cameron Diaz.
"My Sister's Keeper" is rated PG-13 and runs for 109 minutes. The story takes place in Los Angeles where 11-year-old Anna Fitzgerald seeks successful lawyer Campbell Alexander to help her earn medical emancipation from her mother Sara. Sara wants Anna to donate her kidney to her sister Katie. She tells the lawyer the story of her family before her older sister was diagnosed with leukemia, how she was conceived by in vitro fertilization to become a donor and the multiple medical procedures she has been admitted to since she was born. Campbell accepts the work and Anna's mother goes to court to force Anna to help Katie.
The event is open to the public. There will be free popcorn and pop.
