This month Women magazine visits Green Bay's Broadway for its Women Who Inspire feature. The business owners and employees on this street give the business district its distinct style. Here's what Megan Melendy of Besselli had to say:

What do you like about being on Broadway? The thing I like most about having our business on Broadway is the atmosphere.
It's such a great feeling to turn down our street. The vibe, the other fun businesses, and the potential I see every day makes me so proud to say that Besselli is a part of the growing Broadway district.

What do you enjoy about being a business owner? Being a business owner has been a learning experience, but I must say I enjoy the fact that I am able to make my store my own.
I get to meet so many wonderful people, and last but not least I get to do something I absolutely love with my mom by my side, along with the rest of the Besselli gang.

What have you been doing to make it in this economy? The one thing we focus on at Besselli is customer service. I strongly believe that if you are working hard and making your customers feel welcome they are going to want to come back and visit.
It's a new year and I hope that everyone is able to feel a little less economic stress.

What advice do you have for women looking into business ownership? My advice to any other woman out there who is thinking about owning a business is: Go for it!
If you have a dream or passion to do something you love, then do it. I understand that opening a business is work, but it is worth taking the leap rather than always wondering what might have been.
