If you’re a fan of musicals like my daughter is, you’re looking forward to seeing “Wicked” this spring at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. Be sure to circle Dec. 6 on your calendar, as it’s been announced that that’s the day tickets go on sale to the public.

There will be an exclusive ticket buying opportunity starting at 7 a.m. at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center before they go on sale through Ticketmaster at 10 a.m. The eagerly awaited stage production will begin performances on Feb. 4 for a limited engagement of four weeks through Feb, 28.

“Wicked” is a prequel of sorts to “The Wizard of Oz.” It focuses on Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch, showing them in their formative years. From all accounts, it’s a great story, and I’m looking forward to seeing how that fiery young lady with emerald green skin handles her beautiful and ambitious young friend.

There’s more information on the show at www.wickedthemusical.com. For more ticket information, see www.foxcitiespac.com.
